Why should I use the NYC Airporter Express Bus Services?

The NYC Airporter provides safe, on time, fast and reliable Express Airport Shuttle Bus Transportation at a fraction of the price of a taxi. We provide Airport transportation 7 days a week.

How can I find the pickup locations at the Airport?

You may find our NYC Airporter Uniformed Agents in green blazers or coats (Winter) or white shirts (Summer), at our counter located in the Ground Transportation Welcome Center; and, also outside of Baggage Claim. You may also dial 46 from the phone boards located in the Ground Transportation Welcome Center. Buses stop outside of each airport terminal.

What’s the average travel time from (and to) JFK Airport and Manhattan?

Travel times will vary depending on the time of day and day of week, as well as, events and activities impacting the traveled routes. On average the travel time is 90 minutes. Please take into account, arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight departure, especially for international flights. The NYC Airporter is NOT responsible for late arrivals or departures.

What’s the average travel time from (and to) LaGuardia Airport and Manhattan?

Travel times will vary depending on time of day and day of week, as well as, events and activities impacting the travel routes. On average the travel time is 60 minutes. Please take into account arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight departure. The NYC Airporter is NOT responsible for late arrivals or departures.

Do you provide scheduled service to Newark Airport (NEW YORK AIRPORT TRANSFERS)?

NYC Airporter provides scheduled services to Newark Airport from either JFK and LaGuardia Airports (Airport Transfers). A Bus transfer at the Port Authority Bus Terminal is required from our NYC Airporter bus to our partner Newark Airport Express’ Bus (yellow and blue bus) upon arrival from JFK or LaGuardia Airports. Travel times will vary depending on time of day and day of week, as well as, events and activities impacting the travel routes. On average the travel time is 2 ½ hours. The NYC Airporter is NOT responsible for late arrivals or departures.

Do you provide scheduled service between JFK International and LaGuardia Airport (NEW YORK AIRPORT TRANSFERS)?

Scheduled inter airport service is available from (and to) JFK International and LaGuardia Airport. Travel times will vary depending on time of day and day of week, as well as, events and activities impacting the travel routes. On average the travel time is 50 minutes. The NYC Airporter is NOT responsible for late arrivals or departures.

I am trying to get to New York City. Why do you only stop in Manhattan?

While locals understand the geography of New York City and its surrounding area, many visitors are surprised to find that what they original viewed to be New York City is actually Manhattan, a borough of greater New York City. This metropolitan region is comprised of five different boroughs, or neighborhoods, like these including: Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island. NYC Airporter only services Manhattan.

Do you serve any cities outside of the New York City metropolitan area?

We offer services from the New York Airports to Newark Liberty Airport in New Jersey. A bus transfer at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City to Newark Airport Express’ Bus service is required.

Do you offer a service guarantee?

We pride ourselves on providing our customers with a safe, professional, dependable and economical service solution. Our buses depart approximately every 30 minutes from LGA, JFK, Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal and the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Our customers are encouraged to allow ample travel time for traffic and weather conditions, as well as, check-in delays at the airports in order to arrive on time for your flight. NYC Airporter does not provide specific pick-up times based upon flight departure time, please check with your airline.

NYC AIRPORTER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LATE ARRIVALS OR DEPARTURES.

How can I get a refund?

Online purchases are valid for 90 days from date of purchase. All Sales are FINAL. However, you may call us or speak to an online chat representative and request a refund if you have a legitimate reason.

Do you have a lost and found?

Yes. When our drivers find something left by a passenger, they deliver it to our office located in Astoria, NY at the end of their daily shift. You can contact us at 718-777-5111 or 855-269-2247 (855-2NYCAIR) to find out if the item has been found and set aside. Unfortunately, with a daily volume of several thousand passengers in a city this dense, we cannot guarantee it has not been picked up by another person before the driver was made aware of it.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS LEFT IN THE VEHICLE, LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED LUGGAGE (INCLUDING CONTENTS). IMMEDIATELY NOTIFYING THE DRIVER OF ANY LOSS WILL PROVIDE THE BEST CHANCE OF RECOVERING LOST ITEMS.

How much does your service cost? Children Price?

Our pricing is dependent on your origination point, whether you are heading to or from the airport, and which airport you are traveling to or from. For detailed pricing, please see our Home Page. Children age 3 and under ride free.

Do you charge extra for additional luggage?

Each purchased ticket allows for up to two (2) suitcases and one carry-on. The purchase of an additional regular priced ticket is required for each additional piece of luggage.

Do you have ADA accessible vehicles?

Yes, the NYC Airporter Express Buses were built in 2011 and are ADA Accessible and can accommodate up to two wheelchair passengers per vehicle.

I'm bringing a small child. Do you provide car seats?

We do not provide car or booster seats and cannot provide a guarantee that each bus will be properly equipped to secure your child's car seat. For more information regarding New York City laws on child safety seats and safety restraints, please visit the NYCDOT site by clicking here.

How do I purchase a bus ticket?

Buy Your Tickets Online TODAY!! Our convenient buy online option is the best way to purchase a ticket for one of our Express Buses. It's easy, no need to pay for your ticket at the bus or at the Airport just present your printed confirmation when you board. Make your trip hassle free and Buy your tickets online NOW!

Bus tickets can also be purchased at any NYC Airporter bus stops in Manhattan and at the Airports. Please look for our NYC Airporter counter and uniformed sales agents at the Ground Transportation Welcome Center; and, outside of Baggage Claim. You may also dial 46 from the phone boards located in the Ground Transportation Welcome Center.

Note: Charges for credit card transactions will appear as "NYC Airporter" on your credit card statement.

Hours of Opertation?

The NYC Airporter shuttle bus services operates from 5:00 A.M. - 11:30 P.M. Daily – 365 Days a year. Shuttle buses depart every 30 minutes on the hour. The last bus departs JFK & LGA at 11:30pm (23:30)

What airports do you serve?

The NYC Airporter services JFK International, LaGuardia Airports and Newark Liberty Airports. We also offer an inter-airport shuttle between LGA and JFK. JFK to Newark. LaGuardia to Newark.

A bus transfer at the Port Authority Bus Terminal is required to and from Newark Airport. The services to Newark are provided by Newark Airport Express and depart from New York every 15 minutes.

Will the bus be waiting for me when my flight lands?

Unlike an 'on demand' form of transportation, such as taxis and limo service that can load your luggage and immediately depart, our service is built on a shared ride concept. Each bus holds up to 31 passengers and follows a strict timetable with departures every 30 minutes on the hour between the hours of 5:00 A.M. and 11:30 P.M.

Ridesharing provides a budget-conscious transportation solution. It also supports the environment by grouping passengers and ultimately taking smaller vehicles off the road.

What does my ride look like?

The NYC Airporter buses are all brand NEW, ADA accessible, white in color, hybrid coach buses each containing a seating capacity of 31 passengers. Buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi, power outlets, video monitors, leather reclining seats, an overhead storage compartment, reading lights, and overhead temperature controls for your comfort.

What hotels do you serve?

A complimentary van transfer is available to all Midtown Manhattan Hotels located between 23rd and 63rd Streets. We do not pick up from hotels, you will have to go to our nearest bus stop for your return trip. An up to date list of our hotel stops can be viewed by clicking here. Our hotel shuttles operate from 8am - 10:00pm.

Can I get a ride from JFK or LaGuardia Airport to Newark Airport?

Yes, you may board the NYC Airporter Express Bus at JFK or LaGuardia and exit at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there a bus transfer is required to Newark Airport Express’ Bus Services. The cost is $24.

Where in Manhattan does the bus stop?

The bus stops at Penn StationGrand Central Terminal and the Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT). For more info on location, maps and pictures of our bus stops, please go to our Bus Stops Locator page.

Transfer at Bryant Park (42nd st btwn 5th & 6th ave)  for your complimentary shuttle van to all Midtown Manhattan Hotels located between 23rd and 63rd Streets, for ROUND-TRIP customers ONLY.

Where will I be dropped off in New Jersey?

Drop off will be at Newark Liberty International Airport via Newark Airport Express Bus Service. The bus stops at every terminal.

How do I get from Manhattan to my hotel?

We offer free complimentary hotel transfers for our NYC Airporter customers. After being dropped off at Bryant Park (42nd st btwn 5th & 6th ave) by our larger buses, we offer complimentary shuttle van service to your hotel (hotels located between 23rd and 63rd Streets in Midtown NYC). This service is only available from Bryant Park. Please keep in mind that our complimentary shuttle service is optional, passengers have the option to use our complimentary shuttles to their hotel or they can take a cab after arriving at Bryant Park. Please take New York City traffic into consideration, we are not responsible for long waiting times for our complimentary shuttles. We will however provide the most professional and efficient service possible to get you to your hotel. Our hotel shuttles operate from 8am - 10pm. 

Alternatively, our bus stops are conveniently located within walking distance of many midtown hotels. Please ask our online chat representative or email us for more information and directions.

Do you pick up from my hotel?

For your return trip back to the airport, you MUST go to one of our bus stops: Penn Station, Port Authority or Grand Central. We DO NOT pick up from hotels.

Is there a limit on luggage?

We allow two suitcases and one carry-on bag. An additional regular fare ticket will have to be purchased for other items that are not considered a suitcase such as bicycles, skis, large music instruments (e.g.: cello, tuba).

Not typically, unless they are handling your bag.

Our passengers often ask about tipping; quality service is customarily acknowledged by a gratuity of 18 – 20%.
